Louis Garneau is proud of its new facility in Derby, Vermont, which houses its production, distribution, marketing, commercialization and administration activities. Located on Route 5 close to I-91, the new building, totaling 60,000 sq. ft., represents an 8 million dollar investment. Construction started in July 2013 and was completed in the spring of 2014. Pearson & Associates provided the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering for their new facility.

Vermont Precision Tools is one of the largest employers in Swanton. After they out-grew their original facility, they worked with Franklin County Industrial Development Corp. (FCIDC) to design and build a new manufacturing facility near Exit 21 off Interstate 89.

Pearson & Associates provided the electrical engineering to assist with the building design. The building has a 90,000 SF footprint with over 15,000 SF of mezzanine space. Tenant spaces were provided in the back section of the building which are currently leased by Franklin County Industrial Development Corp.

Pearson & Associates provided electrical design for the 14 Megawatt, 34,500 volt electrical distribution system upgrade for snowmaking and lifts. This work was performed in multiple stages from 1999 through 2006.

Snowmaking Facilities involve complex integration of air, water and power to insure quality snow produced with efficient use of water and power.

Proper planning and design of the electrical systems insure a neat and clean installation that functions at high efficiency levels. Stowe Mountain Resort received significant incentives from Efficiency Vermont for the Electrical Power and Control Systems for the snowmaking installation.
